The GERA congress offers participants a variety of formats for exchange, controversy, and information. The submission of proposals for working groups, symposia, research forums, and thematic forums has already been completed. With this call, we invite submissions for AdHoc Groups.

As part of the congress, AdHoc Groups will take place on Wednesday (March 25, 2026, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm), parallel with the research forums. Unlike symposia, which must have a strong connection to the congress theme, AdHoc Groups address disciplinary and/or science policy issues. The particular topicality and societal or (educational) political relevance of the AdHoc Group’s theme is a mandatory requirement for successful acceptance.

The content design of the contribution is the responsibility of the submitters; both classical and alternative formats are welcome. In your abstract, please explain why you are submitting your contribution as an AdHoc Group and not as a symposium, working group, or research/thematic forum. Rejected contributions from other congress formats (e.g., working groups or symposia) may not be resubmitted as AdHoc Groups.

The selection process and review of submissions will be carried out by the local organizing committee.
