From 22 to 25 March 2026, the 30th Congress of the German Educational Research Association (DGfE) will take place in Munich. We expect around 2,000 scholars to come together to discuss educational science perspectives on the congress theme “Disruptions.” The congress will be held primarily in the main building of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich.
For the preparation and implementation of the congress, we require a large team of student assistants. Join us as one of the largest humanities congresses in LMU’s history takes place!

IF YOU
- if you are available to be on site in Munich between 19 and 26 March 2026 and can work flexibly during this period for approximately 10 to 50 hours
- can envision yourself working in the following areas:
- Room management and on-site coordination: e.g., preparing rooms, providing basic technical support, monitoring the number of attendees in each room, …
- Catering support: assisting at coffee, beverage, and catering stations (particularly at lunchtime), selling baked goods at our pop-up bakery, …
- Support with registration, information desk, admission control, and guest services, …
- Assistance with setup and dismantling, rearrangements, transport, luggage handling, etc.
- Support for working groups: communication, website maintenance, hotline assistance.
- and are enrolled at a German university at the time of employment.
WE OFFER YOU
- a flat-rate expense allowance based on the volunteer allowance (§ 3 No. 26a German Income Tax Act). The amount depends on the time commitment and will be agreed upon individually. This does not constitute an employment relationship subject to social security contributions.
