Event for Internationals
We cordially invite all international participants of the congress to a special reception. It will begin with a one-hour guided tour of the city on the subject of ‘National Socialism and Resistance in Munich’, during which you will get to know the city from a historical and at the same time thought-provoking perspective. Afterwards, we will welcome you in the Senate Hall of the University – drinks and refreshments will also be provided. Congress Dinner
On Tuesday evening, we cordially invite you to the DGfE’s traditional social evening – this year at a very special location: the world-famous Hofbräuhaus in Munich. Founded in 1589 by Duke Wilhelm V, the Hofbräuhaus is one of the most famous beer houses in the world. For centuries, it has been a lively meeting place for Munich locals and guests from all over the world. Personalities such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Empress Elisabeth of Austria (‘Sisi’) have also spent time here. Look forward to a convivial evening in an atmosphere steeped in history – with a hearty snack full of Bavarian specialities, musical accompaniment and a touch of Bavarian joie de vivre.
