The 30th DGfE Congress in Munich is being jointly organized by four renowned institutions that stand for outstanding achievements in education, research and academic exchange in their respective fields. With the German Educational Research Association (GERA) as the leading professional society, the tradition-steeped Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU), the practice-oriented and innovative Universität der Bundeswehr München and the internationally renowned Technische Universität München (TUM), four strong partners are pooling their expertise to make an inspiring and insightful congress possible. The organizers introduce themselves in more detail below.

The DGfE (in eng. German Educational Research Association (GERA)) was founded in 1964 and brings together around 4,500 educational scientists from research and teaching. It promotes educational research, education and theory development, shapes scientific and educational policy debates and supports young academics. Its work is organized in 14 sections and 18 commissions, the results of which are published at regular congresses, specialist conferences and in publications. The DGfE is internationally networked and a member of the European Educational Research Association (EERA) and the World Education Research Association (WERA).
