Our logo for the 30th Congress of the German Educational Research Association (March 22-25, 2026 in Munich) refers to central aspects of the congress theme: disruptures.
The golden line on a dark background can be read as a crack – as a sign of major ruptures, but also as a path that opens up new perspectives. The deliberate breaks in perspective irritate the eye and encourage us to question our usual ways of seeing things. The design is inspired by the Japanese Kintsugi technique, which does not conceal breaks but emphasizes them with gold. This method gives the repaired a new quality and points to the creative potential of breaks and discontinuities.
We would like to use this image at the 2026 congress to encourage a differentiated examination of the functionality of discontinuities in and for education, training and socialization
